Clarence House Chardonnay 2024 Size::1 Bottle The pure age of these
Description
The pure age of these vines give the wine texture and palate weight
This climat is named after the small houses known as "Mazis" that used to be present on this parcel
perhaps from that cool climate shiraz component
Each plot vinified separately with ferments in stainless steel and no malo (except for the Bouzy rouge)
An expressive nose of red fruits
Clarence House Chardonnay 2024 Size::1 Bottle The pure age of theseClarence House was built in 1830 on land which was originally the market garden for the City of Hobart. The present owner, David Kilpatrick, first planted vines on the North East slopes of Clarence Plains in 1998. Entirely from a single block, three clones of Chardonnay (including the prized Penfolds clone) reside on an east facing slope with views back towards the Clarence House homestead and Mt Rumney. Wonderfully complex, with citrus and stonefruit
